    • R4: (2 sc, inc)*6 (24)
    • R5–R7: 24 sc (24) (3 rounds)
    • R8: (2 sc, dec)*6 (18)
    • R9: (1 sc, dec)*6 (12)
    • Stuff the pot firmly with polyfill stuffing.
    • R10–R11: 12 sc (12) (2 rounds)
    • R12: (1 sc, inc)*6 (18)
    • R13: Ch 1, fasten off and weave in yarn tail inside the pot neck.
    • Foundation: Ch 7
    • Row 1: Start in 2nd ch from hook: 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 2 dc in next ch, 1 hdc, 1 sc (7 sts).
    • Fasten off leaving a tail for sewing. Repeat for the second leaf.
    • Petal Sequence: (Ch 4, sk 1st ch, 3 sc along the chain, sl st into next 2 sts on base)
    • Repeat this sequence around the entire perimeter to create the petaled ring.
    • Petal Edging/Shaping: Round each petal top by working (1 sc, 3 hdc, 1 sc) into the petal loops, sl st between petals, repeat around. Fasten off and weave in ends.
    1. Attach Leaves: Sew the two green leaves onto the top opening rim of the flower pot so they drape outward nicely.
    2. Attach Flower to Pot: Position the pink flower with its brown core firmly over the top center of the pot neck (nestled between the leaves) and stitch securely using a yarn needle.
    3. Attach Keychain Hardware: Securely fasten the metal jump ring and keychain loop through the top center of the brown flower core.

Question: How do I ensure the flower pot stands upright and the flower head doesn’t droop over time?

Answer: To give the vase a stable shape, stuff the lower bulbous section firmly with polyfill while keeping the neck slightly lighter on stuffing.

When sewing the flower core to the pot neck, make sure your stitches go through both the inner rim of the pot and the base of the brown center cap in a tight circular ring.

This creates a solid structural anchor that keeps the flower head perky and upright even when attached to a moving bag or key ring!
